Sutherland Presses is a family owned market leader in the metal forming industry. They came to me in need of transforming their brand and updating their online presence. Metal forming is a rather traditional business within which a few smaller manufacturers like Sutherland shine as innovators. With a mind towards positioning the Sutherland brand as the “maverick innovator” of the lot we delved into iterative rounds of refashioning key brand assets such as the company logo and style guides, while conducting structured brand development exercises and user personae documentation. The resulting digital products are best in class - bringing actual user experience methodology to key industry products.
